NOTES: Nero Recode
Nero Recode produces great quality backups with very little hassle. I used to use CloneCD but Nero Recode is so much more reliable. Making backups is easy and no longer a chore. If you need to make backups you NEED to get this. 1. DVDDecrypter - a free tool to copy movies from DVD to your harddrive. (also removes the copy protection) 2. Nero Recode - for best results choose only the movie and sound track. (remember to check www.ahead.de for the latest patch) 3. Decent quality blank DVDs - a step which far too many skip when first making backups. Follow the three simple rules when buying blanks: 1) The darker purple the dye the better the burn 2) Cheap blanks ain't good and good blanks ain't (usually) cheap 3) When in doubt, buy Ritek G04. 4. Nero Burning ROM 6 - the program you buy to get Nero Recode. Use it to burn the backups you've created using Recode. 5. Never burn a coaster again - unless you want to ;) Nero recode let my computer hang with the message:Nero Recode 2 encountered an error and cannot continue. Encoding error - illegal program state occured. This happens with DVD's created on an Philips DVDR75. copyright protection on the disks (Philips DVDR75) they burn . In order to re-burn a DVD made with these stand alone players you must first remove the Copy Protection with Alcohol 120%

NOTES

321 INSTALL PROBLEMS~
Reinstall 321 with antivirus turned off. Go to your msconfig file on start up hit disable all. now restart your 
computer and try to run your 321 software. After restart check box of don’t show me this again.  
Before you start a burn process check your temp storage file 
and make sure no 321 dvd folder is there ,if there is delete it.

COPY SETTINGS~
When copying be sure to match up widescreen if it is a widescreen disc and full screen if it is a full screeen
DO not multi-tasking or have the screen saver/power saver options active when copying.

Corruption problem~
Try the following with CDmage:
Make sure the error log is visible ('View' > 'Error log').
Scan for corruption.
When some of the corrupted sectors come up, stop the scan and go to 'Action' > 'Rebuild sector fields...'
See if it fixed the errors (the red crosses should turn into green checkmarks in the error log). If it did,
 you can continue fixing the rest of the sectors.

DVD Menus~
Use tmpgenc dvd author, and tmpgenc mpeg converter, you'll have a menu and everything;  Plus you won't have to worry if about the file type, tmpgenc mpeg converter will change it for you.

TIPS
Kazaa Corruption Fixer~ If you have the complete movie then it will redownload parts that are bad or missing ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TIP: If your Cable or DSL service suddenly have connection problems, slow or failed loading of some webpages, or low upstream/downstream speeds. THEN completely turn off the computer that is connected to your cable modem. Pull out the plug to the cable modem power cord so that no electrical power goes to it. Wait 10 - 15 minutes. Plug the power cord back in. Allow the cable modem 2 - 3 minutes to reset. Turn the computer back on.
